My proposal

The civil rights in Puerto Rico have changed throughout the years, some more important than others but however important for the constitution. Since past years, Puerto Rico's major problem in the constitution has been the establishment of laws and a good government. Not only in the laws or government, but also in the economy and rights of the people, which sometimes are questioned. My proposal is to create a new amendment  for th rigth for people have the authority of taking of the power to any governer or official that is not doing any progress or any changes in the isalnd. I will not tolarate the idea that they keep so calm and so many people suffring and with out jobs. my perposition tu you is to  stand up for our island  to have great leaders leading our country and having the dignity and the sensitivity of looking  out for us. Giving us choices of having the possibility of  succes, of having the responsibility,  to feel  safe againg and be able to put our trust againg in thier hands. Give me your support of having againg our Puerto Rico back. This is a figth that we need to figth for our own good. This is our home and we could not let people come and destroy it.

Changes

Here in the island of Puerto Rico did had many changes according to the government and power.  One of the first changes made was in 1964 when Muñoz Marin decided he will not run for governor again. In 1996 was another change that happed in the island. This change was the loss of the Section 936 status. This made that companies that already open will retain the exemption until 2005. This cause for government companies were to be sold to encourage US business advantages.

In 2006, many of the government shut down all school and government offices  during two weeks because of the lack of fundings.  Almost half of th males wer curntly without jobs and the island strugle to borrow money.

Today is no much better than before. Still today there ar still dificult to find jobs for both men and women. vn the politic failed and many congressmen and people that from th senate are corrupts people. This a time verry hard when now a day people just do not trust any one in this island. Many people need are still unemployed thank you to the goverment that fired hundres and hungres of people many day. For me this is shame thing to said becuase i live here but is th truth.

Struggle & Activism of the National Congress for Puerto Ricans Rights

The National Congress for Puerto Ricans Rights is a very peaceful protest group. This group was mostly attack by the police. This did fight back but in a peaceful way. They were the ones organizing pareds and groups of protest. They were not only Puerto Ricans, but any kind of latinos including korean and other type of culture and races.

The first Racial Justice Day was organized by the National Congress of Puerto Rican Rights to galvanize the community against this example of increased racist violence.  One form of protest was the Racial Justice Day. On the day June 3, 1999 it was the celebaration of the anual parade made. That year the theme was the Voice of the Forgotten this was in rememberence of all that had died and suffer brutality by the police.

I will mentioned some of the people killed by police brutality:

1994: The cops killed Anthony Baez, Nicholas Heyward, Shu'ab Abdul Latif, and Felix Junior Jorge.

1995: Anibal Carrasquillo, Yong Xin Huang, Anthony Rosario and Hilton Vega.

1996: Maria Rivas, Lionard Lawton, Frankie Arzuaga and Jose Santos

1997: Librado Sanchez, Donald Donaldson, Deonarime Matan, Reginald Bannerman, William Whitfield, Robert Rey noso and Juval Green. Abner Louima was tortured.

1998 and 1999: Luciano Lazcano and Amadou Diallo were killed. Family members of the young transsexual woman Jolea Lamot--including Nancy Lamot, Ricardo Perez and John Baez, a relative of Anthony Baez--were beaten by cops.

Opression of the National Congress for Puerto ricans Rights

In the states thier is a group form for the puerto ricans rigths called The national congress of puerto ricans rigths. This group was mistreate in so many ways. One of the most ways that this group was mistreated was in policy brutality, racially motivated violence and criminal justice issues. This affected many young people as propotionate as incarceration and lacks of alternatives to incarceration.

They were mistreated becase they were not tha same raco as the white. There was case with the Mayi family were the police investiagted the murder of latinos kids. The police department  failed to do a vigorous investigation, Because it was white kids killing  Latino kid in Queens, it didn’t have the same cache as if it were reversed. This are the reason why we do not want to be that way. They only see that we can learn only with force. We are people just like every one else.

One of the laws or constitution is the one of freedom of speech. This is the most violeated by the oficials by keeping them no be able  to speek what they think. This was a cruel and uppseting thing to do. Is un constitutional. Many do no see in the sates that they are breaking the sames laws or contitution made by there own nation and we that were not born follow it and the just viloted.

History of the Puertorricans rights

The groups of the puertorricans' rights in the US was founded in 1981 in New York City's South Bronx. One of this group is called the national congress for Puerto Ricans Rights. This group was form dedicated to securing full equality and an end to discri-mination against Puerto Ricans. This organization is best know for against environmental racism, police abuse, racially motivated violence, and other forms of discrimination.

Some of the founders for this group were numbers of Young Lords Party. This organizaction took during the time preiod of 1960s' - 1970s'. Most of this group is form by young latinos and latinas persons. Many of thier concenred s are about the politics in the US and the socia beings of thier neighborhoods and the safety of thier families and friends.

They avocated fr the human and civil rights the puerto ricans. They also had addressed some gender equality for the latinas (girls) and the specific political and envioremetn issue here in Puerto Rico. This orgnization affiliated organizations and local groups by bringing citywide and national support to their local efforts. They also educate and comunicate members and the community about the conditions affecting the Puerto Rican and Latino and Latina community and ways to improve them. This is the organization that looks aout for the rigths that every puerto rican such as latinos as the same for latinas.

Comparing Blogs

Mykaella's ( "The whites gained thier freedom from taking away the Native Americans"): She talk about how the whites were taking the freedom to the indinas as the same for there culture. They wanted to make the indians as little model of them. I like Mykaella eassy it was an  eassy that espefici details and intrest you in some many ways. This part of the eassy ''The whites tried so much to change the Native Americans as a replica of themselves.''  was one of my favorite because in a may this show of cruel and selfish the whites were. they tried to change many persons in what they were and  didn't what they taugth or feel. This was to me a very impresive eassy and I really learned a lot from it.
http://shoutneversaynever.blogspot.com/

Albert's(" Violence or self defense''):   His eassy was talking about how the indinas weretreated and how they were afected in many ways. This was good and very informative but it needed more of his opinion into the eassy. I leraned from this eassy but i could not find nothing intrigin or something that could have a favorite part of the eassy.
http://www.jujomonkey.blogspot.com/

Yady's ( "Native Americans" ) :   Her eassy talk about many of the indiand culture and there way fo life  during that period of time were white were forceing them to be something there were not. This eassy was very intresting and expalin every thing in a very good way. My favorite part of this eassywas the information given of the "Ghost Dance" . How it could this decribed this ritual in a very oderly and very detial way. I really love it!!!
http://www.yaidyitalianimmigrants.blogspot.com/

Angel's ( " Native Americans abuse" ): His eassy talk about different tribes and how they were treated. This eassy has a lot information of the different tribes and how they were treated. That was the most impresive thing and my favorite thing of this eassy.
http://fraticelliworld.blogspot.com/

Paulette's (" No to assimilation" ):  Her eassy is about how the indians didi not want to assmilated to waht the whites wanted for them to be. One of the thing that she mention was hte ghost dance and the way the indinas rebeld against the white. I like how inforamative and intrewting the eassy is . Is a eassy thta will love to read it all over again.

How the whites in a way were trying to exticnt the Native Americans

During this time in history class I have been learning about the native americans and thier life. This topic had intrested me in many ways. In my opinion the white wanted to extict the native americans. So me events for this thesis maybe supported is the massacared in sand creek, the sickenees  in all reservations and the farming in the reservations.

The massacared of sand creek was one of the horrible massacred in the indians reservation. 150 Cheyenne and Arapaho indians were killed. They killed old men, women, children and babies and most of the men were away hunting. One of the man lewading this attack was colonel John M. Chivintong. He was a former methodist preacher knonw as the 'figthing parson". This was cruel event that the white did to the indians. What kind of example did the parson gave to those indians? It was unfair to  those people they are human beings like us. That they have different colored skin, different form of life or different culture does not mean that are different.

In every reservations there was a epedemic of diseases that was killing the indians. Most of this diseases thta were common were diabetes, heart conditions, tuberculosis and cancer. Most of the people that were dying were mostly children. There no even space to do the holy burrial. This were the only causes whhy many indians were dying. Many were dying to becauses of other diseases like depression, alcholism and sucieds. Many were not adapted to that form of life. This was a life that in way was going against there culture. They suffered  becuase they were treated and obligted to live in way that was not there life.

The farming was another way the americnas wanted to get the indians to adapted and obligate them to do. Many of the indinas aware them that the harvest was no going to be very productive because they knew there land and those land were fertile to grows crops. One of the tribe that farmed were the cherookee. Most hunt thta was the way of them of getting food and they survived, but them they could only do it as if it was a show so every one cn wach. the haverest crops were corn, beans, squash, and sunflower. Sometime those crop did not grow and they starved and died. This why I belived that the white were cruek and sefish people. Knowing people were dying in there hand and did not do nothing about it.

My opinion is that the white were trying in a way of extinct the Native Americans. They knew that many were dying and did not care. They knew that many were becoming alcoholic and did not care. I will feel very bad and guilty knowing that many people were dying in my hands. This was a cruel thing and very racist thing to do.

The Imigration of Hispanic People Blog #3

This video is talking about the law that the governer form arizona had aprove. This law is about any hispanic that is in arizona can be detenied at any time if they see they are hispanic. This video shows too a hispanic person that aprove of the law. He says that is a good thing becuase that helps othe hispanic no to go and pass  the border. Also a women told her opinion about the law. She is hispanic and republican. She is opposed of the law. She expresed that many of the republicnas thta vote are hispanic and htat way many presidents and governers are their.

I believe that the law enforced in arizona is un fair to all hispanic people. Many of them just want a better life for thier famiy and them. In  a way I know how they feel. This is a racist thing to do in many ways. As in the videos says it could in the future affect many of the officials elected. I was impresed with the hispanic person that talk and said that he was in favor of the law. It made me feel as a betral to all hispanic people.

The Chines Blog#1

The Trip from China To Angel Island
The chinese were imigrants in the mid 1800's.  China began arriving, fleeing from a land stricken by both natural and man-made disasters and a collapsing rural economy. They came through  the pacific ocean it took a journey of three weeks. Many were detained were they arrived in angel island. Chinese that were in america had to prove that they had thier husband, wife or any family back in china and thir were their real relative to come to th US. Men and women were separated in different bracks or housing. They were even be deatenied weeks, months, sometimes even years.

The American Experience
One of the first imigranst in the US were wealthy sucueful merchant. many of the chines came to find jobs. Most of this jobs were laboring in agriculture, mining, industry and whereevr work was needed. They were payed very littled pay. The chinese created little towns were many chinese lived. This towns were called "Chinatown". Many violence was against the chinese mostly the urban and agriculture workers. At leats 88 chinese were reported murdered. This eliminated all imigrantion to the US . At the end of all the chinese impoved in many things as  colorful tourist attractions, well-behaved and school conscientiou. Many chinese kids were allowed to enetered public school and many feamel were imigrating to the US most of them were chines wives.
